Douglas G. Duncan is president and chief executive officer of FedEx Freight Corp. FedEx Freight, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., is the $2 billion leading provider of next-day and second-day regional less-than-truckload (LTL) freight services. From offices in Memphis, Tenn., Duncan oversees the strategic direction of FedEx Freightís two Operating companies, FedEx Freight East (formerly American Freightways) of Harrison, Ark. and FedEx Freight West (formerly Viking Freight) of San Jose, Calif. Both carriers are known for exceptional service, reliability and on-time performance. The two companies provide service to virtually all U.S. zip codes, including Alaska, Hawaii, plus Puerto Rico. Internationally, they provide service to Europe, North, Central, and South America, and the Caribbean.

Duncan reports directly to FedEx Corp. Chairman, President & CEO Frederick W. Smith. FedEx Corp. is the $21 billion premier global provider of transportation, freight, e-commerce, and supply chain management services.

With 25 years of transportation experience, Duncanís impressive industry track record includes various management positions in operations, sales, and marketing with Caliber System and Roadway Express. In 1994, he was also elected to the Roadway board of directors.

Duncan is currently a member of the American Trucking Associationsí board of directors and its executive committee. He also serves as a member of the American Transportation Research Instituteís board of directors. He was recently named to the Executive Committee of the Transportation Research Board. Born in Virginia, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Christopher Newport University in Virginia. He and his wife Pam live in Memphis. They have one son.
