| Jim Karrh is Associate Professor of Marketing and Advertising
in UALRís College of Business. He also serves as Senior Consultant with
CJRW Executive Strategies of Little Rock.
Jimís column, ìOn Marketing,î appears regularly in Arkansas Business;
the column was awarded a national Bronze Medal for byline commentary
in 2002 by the Association of Area Business Publishers. Jim received
the UALR College of Business Faculty Excellence Award in Research for
2004 and the Collegeís Faculty Excellence Award for Public and Professional
Service in 2003.
Jim served as President of the Central Arkansas professional chapter
of the American Marketing Association for 2002-03, helping lead the
chapter to become AMAís national ìTurnaround Chapter of the Year.î He
is also a member of the Arkansas Advertising Federation and was presented
with the Federationís ìAid to Advertising Educationî award for 2002.
A native of Swainsboro, Georgia, Jim earned Ph.D., M.A.,
and B.S. degrees from the University of Florida and his M.B.A.
from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
