Keynote Speaker

Claiborne Deming serves as President and CEO of Murphy Oil Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976 and earned his J.D. from Tulane University.

As one of the largest operators in the Gulf of Mexico, El Dorado-based Murphy Oil Corp. markets crude oil and natural gas liquids from on-and offshore drilling operations throughout the world.

The corporation also is involved in petroleum and natural gas exploration and production operations worldwide and owns or partially owns three refineries.

Under Deming, Murphy has put its gas pumps at Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lots and expanded refineries. It has also made major oil discoveries in Canada and Malaysia.

AES Mission

Our mission is to provide an on-going networking and peer learning venue for Arkansas business and organization executives striving for sustainable leadership excellence through collaborative events and activities.

We are committed to being broadly recognized as:

  • A powerful, positive influence on our state’s business climate
  • Maintaining inclusive posture always seeking programs to enhance our state’s
competitive positioning in a global economy
  • Introducing thought and practice leadership concepts that are driving change in key industries and functions
  • Supporting education and training to manage the constant market place change confronting all Arkansas executives.

The World Is Your Market

"Never, in the history of the world, has the entrepreneurial and small business spirit been more alive. The fight-for-your-life attitude caused by extreme uncertain times along with the explosive growth of the Internet has leveled the playing field and emancipated the entrepreneurial and small business process. There is no end in sight. Rather, a beginning to realizing the world is your market."
